How My Process Works

Resume writing that is strategic, collaborative, and confidence-building

Consultation (2 hours)

Strategy (first ~30 minutes)

  • We start with a career coaching conversation to clarify your goals and determine the right path forward. Together, we align on positioning, target roles, and overall direction.

  • If helpful, we can also discuss job search strategy during this portion of the call.

Discovery (remaining ~90 minutes)

  • We move into a deep, structured line of questioning designed to pull out the details that matter most.

  • This is where we identify high-impact accomplishments, complexity, ownership, and progression that are often forgotten, minimized, or never considered resume-worthy.

Writing

Execution

  • I translate the insights from our consultation into clear, compelling resume language that emphasizes accomplishments.

  • The resume is formatted for readability, proper whitespace, and ATS compatibility, while remaining visually clean and easy to scan.

After the First Draft

Refinement

  • You review the draft for accuracy and completeness and share any notes in a bullet-pointed format.

  • One round of edits is included to address corrections, clarifications, or anything we may have missed, resulting in a resume that is accurate, confident, and interview-ready.

Common Resume Problems I Solve

Many resumes fail not because the candidate lacks experience, but because the experience is poorly communicated.

Common issues I see include:

  • Accomplishments buried at the end of bullets or missing entirely

  • Long lists of responsibilities with no indication of impact

  • Vague language that leaves the reader unsure of what was actually done

  • Overly flowery wording that obscures meaning

  • Critical details excluded because the candidate did not realize they mattered
